Topics #8: Senses

Being able to see, to smell, to taste, to hear, and to touch is a gift from god; therefore, we should cherish these valuable abilities. However, if I were so unlucky that I had to lose one of my five senses, it would be the sight.
Why do I choose to lose the ability to see? Firstly, in my opinion, although I lose sight, I still can imagine the images in my brain through my parents’, or my friends’ descriptions. For example, when I travel with my parents, I still can enjoy the beautiful sceneries although I am not able to see anything; my parents will describe the sceneries for me. As a result, I will have many beautiful images in my brain. It likes a movie. Secondly, if I were not able to see anything, I would not see the bad things such as wars on this earth. Nowadays, there are lots of wars in this world. For example, Israel attacked Gaza strip a few days ago; this war led to the death of many innocent people. Thus, if I were not able to see anything, I would not see such a bloody tragedy. Moreover, I would imagine the world is always beautiful and peaceful.
Imagining the images, I would still enjoy this world although I lost the ability to see. I always hold the opinion that we should cherish everything that we have.

  1. Oh!! Your idea is very interesting. Losing sight will make me so terrible, but you do not. It is amazing. However, we are very lucky to have five senses. :)

  2. Interesting Buddy. However, It's really terrible when living in a deeply dark world, and we can be "a loan" for our lovers.

  3. You couldn't see didn't change the fact that it happened. If you said that you don't have to see bad things like wars, your parents or other people would tell you anyway. Thus, you still imagine the picture of the wars even though you don't want to see it. It's automatic!
