Topic#2 My first impressions of California when I first arrived

I arrived at California on 13^th, August 2012. This is my first time to study abroad; therefore, I felt very excited and a little nervous. When I smelt, I felt that that the air in California is fresher than the air in China, even though there were a lot of cars in the street. I saw the sky was very blue; however, I cannot see such a beautiful sky in China. Therefore, comfort was the first impression of California when I first arrived.

After that, my uncle drove with me to Denny’s, which was the first meal that I ate in California. I ate steak in Denny’s. I found that why most of the Americans are so fat; the dish in Denny’s was too enough that I cannot ate it up. I thought the steak in Denny’s was very delicious; also, I cannot find such delicious steak in China.

Therefore, the air is fresher in California than in China. The sky is more beautiful in California than in China. The steak is more delicious in California than in China. It seems like everything is better here than in China. But I found that the answer was false. I found that one serious problem was communicating with people is more difficult in California than in China; my pronunciation was a little poor. I could not express what I wanted to express very quickly; therefore, it was a little hard for me to adapt the new life in California. Without any doubt, I will try my best to adjust to my new life, for I want to be the “New Ben”.
